How
do we join our Bywater Holiday?
You are welcome to drive to Welshpool,
but if you decide to travel by train we offer a complimentary meet and
greet service at Welshpool Railway Station which is on the main
Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth line. There is a direct service from
Birmingham New Street. If you are wary of changing trains in Birmingham
it is worth enquiring if you can change at Wolverhampton which is much
easier. When you arrive at Welshpool you will be met at the station at
4.30pm and returned at 10.30am at the end of your holiday.
Passengers arriving by car are welcome to arrive at any time after
4.00pm. We all meet before dinner at 7.00pm to be introduced to fellow
guests and the crew over a complimentary glass of wine.
 Can
I come on my own?
Yes, of course you can. The chances are that you will not be alone
for long as a number of our regular guests come alone and are soon made
to feel at ease in a small group.
What
should I pack?
There is no need to pack too much. Our holidays are very informal and
comfortable, country clothes are the order of the day. Perhaps a sweater
or two for cooler days and a change of clothes for dinner. We cannot
guarantee sunshine every day, so it’s a good idea to bring some
waterproof gear. If you intend to walk the towpath or help with the
locks you should consider bringing a stout pair of shoes. If you are
feeling optimistic don’t forget to pack sun tan lotion, sun glasses and
shorts. If you are keen on watching wildlife then bring your binoculars
and camera. If you are a member, National Trust Cards may come in useful
too.
How
do I book?
A quick telephone call to us will confirm availability and all you have
to do is complete the booking form and send it to us with the required
deposit within seven days. We will send you written confirmation and a
Cancellation Insurance proposal form.
 Can
I combine two holidays?
Yes, Of course you can. Some of our cruises run “back to back”. Don’t
forget that as a passenger on our Horse Boat Sian you can claim a
discounted holiday on our Hotel Boat Rose. If you would like details
please call either 07971 303 416 or 07775 850 098.
Any
more questions?
Deciding to book a different holiday is not always easy, so if you have
any other queries please call us on the boat. Our number is 07971 303
416. Please remember that we may be busy boating, entertaining our
guests or driving back to the Hotel. In which case just leave your name
and number and we will call you back as soon as we can.
What
does the cost of my holiday include?

include morning coffee, a light lunch and afternoon tea aboard Horse
Boat Sian, Meet and Greet service from Welshpool Station and all
